Our way of doing business comprises a unique combination of three distinct elements which set us apart from other firms.
1. Fixed Fees
“Between grand theft and a legal fee, there only stands a law degree.” Anonymous
Clients can often be concerned about uncertain and expensive legal fees but we believe that setting a budget need not be the mystery it appears to be in some professional circles.
For every piece of work we carry out, we offer an upfront fixed fee. This fee will be agreed with you at the outset and we guarantee not to charge any more than the agreed quote – there will be no surprises or “hidden extras”.
Unlike most law firms, our team members have no annual fee targets and no annual time targets. This means that clients can call us at any time to discuss matters without the fear of incurring additional costs each time.
2. Free Home Visits
We understand that life is busy and that it is not always convenient to come into the office to see us. Taking time out of your busy day travelling to meet with your solicitor can be a strain on your resources.
On the other hand, it can be more expensive asking a solicitor to visit you because they may charge for their travel time and costs. That is why we will arrange to see you in the comfort of your own home at a time that is convenient to you, including evenings and weekends, and we won’t charge you for our time or costs to get there.
3. Specialism
Although it’s hard to believe, the UK Parliament introduced the equivalent of 13.8 new laws every working day in 2010. As the law becomes more and more specialised, it’s becoming increasing difficult to keep up to date with the intricacies of every area of law.
This appears to be borne out by the fact that approximately 25% of Wills prepared by solicitors are invalid whilst 30% of Wills prepared by non-regulated Will Writers are invalid, as revealed recently on The Jeremy Vine Show, BBC Radio 2.
This is why Eastons Private Client Solicitors focuses exclusively on a small number of areas, allowing us to accumulate a depth of knowledge and a broad level of practical expertise within our chosen field. That knowledge and experience, coupled with our use of cutting edge technology, allows us to offer outstanding service to our clients.
By concentrating all our efforts on our own specialised area, and by working closely together with other specialist solicitors and professional advisers where necessary, we believe that we can provide a better overall experience for our clients than the traditional “one stop shop” model of trying to do everything ourselves.
